 About the Position:

The Account Manager, Channels is responsible for building and maintaining a territory business plan to generate revenue through partners within an assigned geographic area. They are responsible for partner recruiting and training as well as conducting local engagement with VAR partners on sales-related service and support issues.  The Account Manager, Channels will also be responsible for creating and driving focused business development activities with the partners and advising and engaging partners to pursue business with end users.  

Responsibilities:

  • Perform channel development and sales activities for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue
  • Develop and execute territory business plan
  • Team with Territory Account Managers to generate new business and grow existing customers through partners. Support partners on how to best utilize both organization's products and services to achieve their intended outcome
  • Create and perform sales presentations to match organization's products/services with identified needs
  • Maintain regular contact with the partners to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Remain knowledgeable about all organization's products, services, and internal systems such as CRM to facilitate sales efforts
  • Provide recruitment, training, and ongoing relationship management with all channel partners
  • Provide ongoing pipeline management and forecasting updates as requested
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of sales excellence, with a proven and consistent achievement of assigned objectives and quotas
  • Proven ability to develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in the assigned geographic area
  • Knowledge of networking infrastructure and Internet security industry a plust
  • Excellent communication (oral or written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic sales environment

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales management, related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have 2+ years Inside Sales experience with 1 or more years of Channel or Partner-Relationsip work
  • 3+ years of direct and indirect sales experience in computer and networking, internet security, or related industry
  • Experience working in a 2-tier interdependent eco-systems
  • Experience working with a CRM such as Salesforce

Travel:

  • Once per quarter or as required to exceed sales objectives
